This webinar helped me to better understand on how to manage communication and visits with/at sites. The course was a positive experience in general in terms of guidance and tools to support monitors in such public health crisis.

As my background is in fundamental research, I didn’t know a lot about the career possibilities in clinical research. I wanted to get a better understanding where I could apply my skills in this area. In addition to attending the ECCRT course “Orienting your career in Clinical Research”, I decided to take the ECCRT career coaching. This helped me to get a better overview of the roles and functions in the area of clinical development and what skills those positions require.Together with me coach – Virginie Hamtiaux – we identified what my own strengths are and how to link them to a possible career in the pharma industry. Virginie was able to adapt each coaching session to my own situation to maximise the value for me. Week after week, I became stronger and my confidence grew in my potential to become a great clinical research professional. Thanks a lot Virginie and ECCRT.

I wanted to expand my knowledge as a CRA to achieve goals together with the sites without being the annoying CRA. We learned how to motivate the PI’s to increase the patient recruitment, which I will definitely use in practice. We also discussed a lot of ICF issues, and how they should be resolved. A lot of sites keep making mistakes in obtaining the informed consent from the patients, and I am definitely going to explain this process more to the investigators and their site staff, as this is very important in clinical trials and PI’s don’t always realize they are doing something wrong, as they always handle to treat the patients as good as possible. I think it’s very educational to have different people at the training with different jobs and experiences. For this reason, we received several examples from several perspectives.

I’m a new study nurse and this course explained clearly the process of a clinical trial (documents, what to do, when to do, etc.…). I learned a lot of things, like that I should be well prepared for monitoring (since I am a study nurse and not a CRA) and what are the objectives, views and the job of a CRA.

Trainer helped me to better understand how to qualify the right CRO, how to keep CRO oversight and how to help CRO without doing micromanagement. The experience shared by everyone during the workshops allowed me to learn how to use the KPIs more efficiently and to develop an oversight plan

Obtained a global overview of the involvement of PM over the whole course of a project/clinical trial which allowed me to bridge theory into practice. Very good balance and through this, it increased the amount of information I had on these topics. Very good global on what PM includes with very useful hands-on tips.

It’s a good introductory course on the regulatory requirements concerning clinical trials; not only letting you know what they are, but also why they are needed and how they came to existence.

The course offers a very good introduction to Risk Management in clinical trials. It is a great advantage that all participants are at the same level of knowledge at the beginning of the face-to-face-training due to the eLearning session that has to be completed in advance. I liked the combination of theory and workshops, which resulted in fruitful discussions. Our trainer was very responsive to our in-house procedures. That helped us to improve our approach.
