Course Description
This 1-day course will cover the laboratory tests commonly employed in clinical research and is divided into two sections: haematology and clinical chemistry.Programme highlight
- Haematology tests routinely conducted
- normal values,
- commonly seen abnormalities and their clinical significance.
- Commonly employed tests in a clinical chemistry screen
- electrolytes,
- liver function tests,
- renal function tests,
- pancreatic function tests,
- biomarkers of cardiac disease,
- investigations concerned with metabolism and endocrinology.

- Have a clearer understanding of the meanings of “normal” and “clinically significant” results
