Press Release

We are very excited to announce that SynteractHCR Inc., the full service, international CRO headquartered in San Diego, California, and the Brussels-based European Centre for Clinical Research Training (ECCRT) have reached an agreement to transfer ownership of the ECCRT to Dr. Benedikt Van Nieuwenhove, who founded the centre in 2000, during his tenure as General Manager at Harrison Clinical Research.

“With this agreement, ECCRT becomes a completely independent organisation, dedicated exclusively to clinical research training,” Dr. Van Nieuwenhove commented. “ECCRT will continue to collaborate and deliver training to SynteractHCR and also further expand its service offering to the industry, clinical researh investigators and sites, which it has been training now for 15 years.”

The ECCRT’s mission is to provide clinical research professionals with the competencies to develop new therapies for patients more efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of quality. Dr. Van Nieuwenhove continued, “The clinical research world is in constant state of evolution, therefore, professionals in our industry benefit from having access to training that hones our skills to excel within this dynamic environment. ECCRT is pleased to be able to support continual improvement and join the change management effort that comes with this.”

With the transfer of ownership, ECCRT also announces the relocation of its headquarters to the heart of Brussels, close by the Brussels South railway station. This location was selected for it convenience to be reached by public transport for course participants. The ECCRT looks forward to welcoming you to our new location soon in the New Year.
