Katarina Nedog is Director Regulatory Policy at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), representing Europe’s research-based pharmaceutical industry. She joined EFPIA in September 2023 and took up her current role in June 2025. Her work focuses on regulatory policy across the medicines lifecycle, including clinical trials, preclinical development, pharmacovigilance, and drug development, with a strong emphasis on supporting innovation while safeguarding patient safety. With nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and trade associations, Katarina has held senior roles spanning regulatory policy, strategy, and operations. Prior to EFPIA, she worked as a Regulatory Affairs and Policy Consultant and led global regulatory process and digital transformation initiatives as Head of Business Process Excellence at Sandoz. She also worked at Medicines for Europe, a trade association focused on access to medicines, where she covered regulatory and science policy topics and engaged closely with a broad range of stakeholders. A Slovenian national, Katarina holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Ljubljana and has complemented her academic background with professional training in leadership, project management, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
