Thierry Dedecker is an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager with a robust background in the pharmaceutical industry. He currently works at Bayer SA-NV in Diegem, Belgium, where he has been since May 2019. In his role, Thierry coordinates regulatory affairs across EU countries and supports both EU and global regulatory strategies, particularly focusing on gene therapy for hemophilia A. Thierry’s career spans several notable pharmaceutical companies. Before joining Bayer, he worked at Gilead Sciences and Sanofi-Synthelabo, managing regulatory affairs in oncology and serving as a deputy qualified person and pharmacovigilance contact. His tenure at TEVA Pharma saw him handling regulatory affairs, pricing, product development, and marketing support for a diverse range of products, including medicines, food supplements, medical devices, and biocides. Thierry’s earlier roles include positions at Lundbeck, Qualiphar, and Msource Medical Development, where he gained extensive experience in regulatory affairs, product development, quality assurance, and clinical development. His career began with internships at Zeneca and Alcon, followed by a role at Sanofi-Synthelabo focusing on production and QA-validation projects. Thierry holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy from Ugent, Belgium, and an additional Master’s degree in Industrial Pharmacy from an inter-university program in Belgium.
