Thomas has 20 years of experience in leading and conducting German and international real-world evidence studies. Thomas holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Duisburg, Germany, and a Diploma degree in Economics from the University of Duisburg. From 2001-2004 Thomas worked for the Boston Consulting Group. Since 2004 he is a Professor at the Faculty of Business at the University of Applied Sciences Wismar, Germany. In addition to various senior scientist consulting roles to companies such as Ingress-health GmbH (2015-2019) or Cytel Inc. (2019-2023), Thomas is leading a German University-affiliated research institute (IPAM). He works as Senior Scientist for the European health care consultancy GIPAM GmbH. He also acts as the head of the Landesausschuss/Erweiterter Landesausschuss in the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
